The Trusts and Estates Group at GCA Law Partners LLP provides a full range of estate planning services. The client’s goals are central to our practice. We work with our clients individually to provide guidance on the key estate planning decisions: how property is to be held; who will be authorized to make decisions and carry out instructions on behalf of the client; who will care for a minor, disabled or special needs family member; and how property will be managed and distributed, in the present and the future. We are attentive to the client’s focus, which often includes preservation of privacy and independence as well as planning for future generations. For individuals starting out in their careers, or for new families, we can develop an estate plan to establish a road map for the future that reflects the client’s values, designates trusted decision-makers, and protects assets as well as privacy. After death, we work with appointed trustees or executors to carry out the client’s wishes in administration of the estate. We also represent individuals, family members, and private professional fiduciaries in all aspects of conservatorship and guardianship practice, including limited conservatorships for disabled individuals and mental health conservatorship. We provide counseling with respect to long term care planning and special needs planning, including establishing and administering special needs trusts. In the event of a contested trust or estate matter, we provide representation in all aspects of the litigation or mediation process.
