Susan Condon’s practice includes counseling and litigation in the areas of commercial and business disputes, real estate litigation, and construction law. She handles complex commercial matters and has successfully defended product manufacturers against unfair competition and Proposition 65 claims. Susan represents both landlords and tenants in commercial lease disputes. Representative matters include favorable results for a landlord threatened with the abandonment of a lease by an anchor tenant and for a commercial tenant of a large office building, the owner of which had previously refused to abate a nuisance.

Susan has represented several major U.S. residential developers against claims of construction and design defects, as well as real property claims. She has successfully represented developers and contractors against claims of water intrusion, mold, subsidence and structural deficiencies, and she has assisted contractors in obtaining compensation arising from delay. Susan successfully defended a developer in Southern California against claims of encroachment by an adjacent landowner. She obtained summary judgment for another developer in a subsidence action based on the statute of limitations. Susan also represents homeowners and on their behalf has recovered against contractors for construction defects and improper billing practices. Susan’s construction experience also includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts on behalf of both owners and contractors.

Susan joined GCA Law Partners LLP in July 2008 from the law firm of Armstrong Teasdale LLP, prior to which she was a partner in the San Francisco office of Senn Palumbo Meulemans LLP. Susan received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a bachelor’s degree in political science and administrative studies.
