She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in theatre arts with a minor in English and a Master of Arts in special education from California State University, Northridge.

Tina Ernst joined GCA Law Partners LLP as a paralegal in the litigation practice in July 1999. Karen Lee joined GCA Law Partners LLP in October 2007. She worked for five years at two branches of Bank of America before entering the legal field. She holds an Associate in Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from De Anza College in Cupertino and a Bachelor of Arts from San Jose State University, where she double majored in behavioral science and sociology.
