Deborah Miller became a partner at GCA Law Partners LLP in October 2000, after having been Of Counsel since March 2000. A member of the Technology Transactions and Product Distribution practice group, Deborah is a transactional attorney emphasizing software licensing, sales agreements (including channel partner, OEM, and end user), development agreements, independent contractor agreements, services agreements, and preventive law counseling in areas including e-commerce, price discrimination, and advertising and promotional allowances. Prior to joining GCA, she was with 3Com Corporation in Santa Clara for eleven years, most recently as Associate General Counsel for Americas Sales, Service, and Marketing, and leader of a practice group of seven attorneys. Before that she was an attorney with GTE Southwest in Irving, Texas, and a Hearings Examiner and Administrative Law Judge for the Texas Public Utility Commission in Austin, Texas for almost five years.

Ms. Miller received her B.A. in Political Sociology with High Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara; her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was Assistant Editor for the Law Review and Co-President of the McAuliffe Honor Society; and her MBA in Marketing with a secondary emphasis in Business and Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. She is licensed to practice in California and Texas.
