GCA Law Partners
LLP was founded in 1988 as an alternative to large law practices,
with the goal of providing responsive and cost-effective legal services
to clients. Our firm is composed exclusively of highly experienced
attorneys, most of whom were previously partners or senior attorneys
with well-known large law firms in Northern California. Our unique
(unleveraged) business model allows our attorneys to work directly
with clients (ranging from first-time entrepreneurs to mature public
companies). We are able to provide to our clients the skills and experience
of partners at rates comparable to those charged by larger firms for
more junior attorneys.
Our initials GCA come from our original firm name, General Counsel
Associates, signifying our original mission to work with the officers
and directors of companies to provide the range of advice and accessibility
that they might expect from a general counsel. Our attorneys, several
of whom have significant in-house experience, continue to work closely
with in-house corporate counsel at many of our clients. Our practice
